Flow of experience

9:10 or 13:10: Check in
Please check in at the O’PAL front desk at least twenty minutes before your start time!

9:30 or 13:30: Instruction
Your instructor will explain how to paddle/maneuver your kayak

: Depart onto Lake Biwa!
Consult with your instructor and set out for a local river or temple!

: Head toward destination!
Be sure to take a commemorative photo once you reach your goal!

11:30 or 15:30: Return to shore

Experience content

This course is ideal for both beginner or experienced kayakers with an adventurous spirit. Kayak around local rivers, landmarks, wildlife spots, and more.

Set a destination after consulting with your instructor about weather conditions, etc. and set off on your adventure!

Take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Biwa and learn about local Shiga landmarks and popular tourist spots from your instructor.

Minimum participants: 2 or more participants

Requirements: 5 years old and up *5 to 7 years old must ride with a person 18 years old or older

Cost: Regular season
¥7,260 per person (tax included)

Pool season (July 20th - September 16th, 2024)
￥7,590 per person (tax included)

Included in cost: Locker, shower room and other facility fees, parking fee, etc.

Time: 120 min. (2 hours)

Time slots: Please check in at the front desk 20 minutes before your start time.

What to expect: Reservations available at following start times:

What to bring: Towel, sandals, hat, water/tea, change of clothes, bath towel, sun protection.

Clothing: Clothes that can get wet(outer and under). We recommend quick-dry clothing.

Cancellation policy: Day of: 100%
Day prior: 50%

*In the case of cancellations due to severe weather, typhoons, etc., cancellation fees do not apply.
**If a reservation is postponed/date is changed, no cancellation fees apply.
